Bereaved by Suicide Support Group
Lifeline Canberra, in partnership with the Canberra Grief Centre run a Bereaved by Suicide Support Group. This is a clinically supervised support group for members of our community bereaved by suicide.
We have two rounds in 2023. Round 1: beginning Tuesday 7 February 2023. Round 2: beginning Monday 24 July 2023. Both rounds go for six meetings on fortnightly rotation 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm.
The program will accommodate adults over the age of 18 who are between three months and three years bereaved. Central to the program is the provision of a safe and validating environment to enable connections, normalising grief and healthy coping. The cost of the program is a one-off $30 donation to Lifeline Canberra.
We are encouraging community members bereaved by suicide who may be interested in joining to contact us for more information.
